A rousing start to the training year: Schäflein gives trainees moving Welcome Days Training young people to become skilled workers – and showing them appreciation right from the start: At the Schäflein Group, the two are inextricably linked. This year, the family-run logistics company from Röthlein once again welcomed its 37 new trainees with an extraordinary event. This time, the internationally acclaimed Dancefloor Destruction Crew from Schweinfurt provided literally moving support.

Being open to new ideas and approaching things creatively – with hard work, passion and a healthy dose of self-confidence. At the beginning of September, 37 young people who are currently starting their training at the Schäflein Group experienced what was certainly an unforgettable taste of this very special spirit. After the “classic” onboarding on 1 September in Schweinfurt’s Kolpinghaus, the young professionals visited the DDC Factory, the creative centre of the Schweinfurt breakdance show group of the same name. Breakdancing and logistics? “At first glance, of course, they are two completely different worlds,” says Achim Schäflein, CEO of the group. “But ultimately, passion, commitment and teamwork are the key to success here and there. They simply thrive best when you – like the people at DDC and us – live a culture of openness.” The Dancefloor Destruction Crew has carved out a truly impressive career with precisely this “open culture” attitude: having started out with four dancers in 1999, the Schweinfurt-based troupe has long been at home on the world’s show stages – whether at the Expo 2015 in Milan, various TV formats or most recently on the cruise ship MS Europa 2. The joint event for the Schäflein trainees on 4 and 5 September was correspondingly diverse and creative. In addition to an exciting presentation by the DDC professionals and a relaxed grill & chill, various (dance) workshops were on the agenda: the young members of #TeamSchäflein were able to try their hand at hip-hop, rap, acrobatics & dance and yoga under professional guidance; some trainees also discovered their creative streak in a graffiti course. An all-round successful start for the career starters. Speaking of career starts: in addition to the 37 new trainees, 30 in the Schäflein Group entered their second and 23 their third year of training.
